Lawrence D. Fossett, 67, died November 22, 2021 at his home in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. Larry was born in Gainesville, Florida and raised in suburban Atlanta. He earned an honors degree in mathematics from Oberlin College and a PhD in operations research from Stanford University. He was retired from a lengthy career at Bell Labs and AT&T, where he earned awards for his work.

Larry was an avid traveler. He traveled up and down the East Coast for holidays and other family events, and took multiple trips to Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, and Japan. He had a huge collection of T-shirts from bars all over the world that he garnered in his travels. In his younger days, he was a serious student of karate, earning the rank of third-degree black belt. He was also a Sudoku player and a successful amateur investor.

Michael J. Kramer, 40, of Red Bank, NJ, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021. Born in Martinsburg, WV, he grew up in Hamilton Township, New Jersey, where he attended Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School and Nottingham High School. He graduated from Drexel University with a degree in Architecture. Over the years, a few of the companies he worked for were InterArch in Mt. Laurel, NJ; WeWork, in NYC, Los Angeles, Shanghai, and Singapore; and most recently Gopuff in Philadelphia, PA.

Michael (or “Kramer”) loved many things: surfing, watches (“You’re never completely dressed without the right watch”), punk rock, a good cigar with his friends, his Porsche, the New York Rangers, his rescue pups Maggi and Rosie, but most of all, his beloved wife Chi Lee. He was a devoted and loving husband, and was excitedly awaiting the arrival of #BabyKramer, a son due January 8^th. His loss is devastating to everyone who knew and loved him. And anyone who knew him DID love him.

Mary Ellen Wilson, 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 29, 2021, while living at the Atrium Navesink Independent Living Community of Red Bank, NJ. She was born in Milton RD #2, PA to the late Homer S. Wagner and Ruth Fox Wagner on March 5, 1930. Mary Ellen was born and raised on the Wagner Farm which dated back to the Revolutionary War. She received her first eight grades of education in a one room schoolhouse being taught by her father, Homer Wagner, who was the teacher. Mary Ellen attended Milton High School in Milton, PA and upon graduation spent one year at Mansfield State Teachers College in Mansfield, PA and the following three years studying voice and piano at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA.

David W. Roche, 93, of Little Silver, NJ, passed away on November 23, 2021 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, NJ. Son of the late David Roche and Helen Foley Roche, Dave was born in New York City on January 20, 1928 and raised in the Kingsbridge section of the Bronx. He graduated from Power Memorial Academy and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Saint John’s University.

A veteran of the U.S. Army, Dave served our country during the Korean War. He later worked as a sales agent for the Allstate Insurance Company in Bayonne, New Jersey, a position he held for over 40 years. Blessed with a keen wit and sharp sense of humor, whenever he was asked what he attributed his long career with Allstate to, he would usually smile and say, “no one has endurance like the man who sells insurance!”.

Gerald (Jerry) N. Hardie, age 74, of Shrewsbury, passed peacefully at NYU Langone Medical Center surrounded by family on Monday, November 22, 2021.

Born to Andrew and Alma Grace (Jennette) Hardie, Jerry grew up on Staten Island, NY. One of six children, his home was lively and he always valued a sense of family and loyalty to those around him. He was a graduate of Curtis High School and was drafted into the U.S. Army at the age of 19. A Vietnam War Veteran, he served in the 173rd Airborne Brigade. Upon returning home, he went on to receive a business degree from Bernard Baruch College, CUNY. He married his wife, Lydia, in 1976, and within a few years, they moved to Shrewsbury, NJ, where they settled their roots and grew their family.

Jerry had a career as a credit analyst, working for various factors/banks in the factoring industry in New York City. In everything he did, he worked hard and was proud to be able to always provide for his wife and two daughters.

Linda Smith Mallan, of Rumson, NJ, died peacefully on November 24, 2021 at King James Nursing Home in Atlantic Highlands, NJ, due to complications from Alzheimer’s Disease. She was 77 years old.

Linda was born in 1943 to Ann Betts and Stewart Pardee Smith, of Skaneateles, NY. As a young person, she was a cheerleader and spent summers sailing on Skaneateles Lake. For her senior year of high school, Linda moved with family friends to live on the island of Mallorca, Spain. Her time there ignited a life-long love of languages and travel. In 1965, she graduated from Syracuse University where she majored in French and joined Gamma Phi Beta sorority. After college, she taught French and Spanish in Stamford, CT, where she met and then married Thomas A. Mallan, Sr. They lived in Scarsdale, NY, Chestertown, MD, and have spent the last 40 years in Rumson, NJ.

In loving memory of Barbara L. Harwood of Red Bank who passed away at the age of 93 years in her home of 67 years.

Barbara, also fondly known as “Twinkle”, had a beautiful spirit that delighted in life, always ready to listen and offer words of comfort and encouragement. Her passion for others, positive attitude and wonderful sense of humor drew all to love her.

Nature was a part of her soul and her backyard was a continual feast and haven for the birds, deer, chipmunks, squirrels, woodchucks, raccoons, skunks and fox.

Surrounded by family, Linda Fay Brown joined her God above on Monday, 11/15/2021, at the age of 66. Born in Long Branch, NJ, she recently moved to Lakewood's Leisure Village after residing in Colts Neck.

Linda grew up in Shrewsbury and was a Red Bank High School graduate. She attended nursing school in Orange, NJ, and settled in her first nursing job at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch. After moving to Indiana in her 20's, her greatest dreams were fulfilled when she became a pediatric nurse in the burn unit at Riley Children's Hospital and at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent in the pediatric intensive care unit. She loved all children and saw pediatric nursing as her calling. Linda was a woman of deep faith in God and, to all who knew her, she was a caretaker whether she was in a hospital room or at home with family and friends.

Nalini Theresa D’Alotto, aged 54, passed away on November 15, 2021. She was born the youngest of 7 to Deonarain and Kunti Rhambarose on May 11, 1967, in Cumberland Village, Guyana.

It can be hard to stand out in a group of 7. Not for Zana, as she was known to her friends and family. Her vibrant spirit endeared her to everyone she met. Even those she met for only a brief time. Her childhood, like most of her life, was spent with family. Talking and laughing and gossiping, of course. But always together. As the family emigrated to the United States over the years they always found space to fit one more in their new home of Queens, NY. It started with her brother Dalchand and sister Surogni. And then came her parents Deonarain and Kunti and the remaining children Ramchand, Mohini, Harrichand, Premchand and the baby of the family, Nalini. She finished up her high school years in Queens and in 1988 she attended Baruch University. That was where she met Lou and their beautiful love story began. They started dating in July of 1989 and by October Lou had already proposed. In three months they had planned two weddings. One traditional Hindu wedding and one wedding in a church just like Zana always wanted.

Arthur J. Mura of Fair Haven, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 5, 2021 at the age of 92. Raised in Garfield, NJ, Arthur graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1947. He was a U.S. Army Veteran in which he proudly served his country during the Korean War. Shortly after his discharge, Arthur began his career as an Insurance Salesman. His exemplary work ethic and continued education rewarded him with many successes. He devoted 30+ years working at New York Life, followed by Mullaney Insurance, then eventually became self-employed under Mura Insurance Services. He was devoted to his clients and continued advising them just months before he passed.
