The original funeral business was founded by Robert Mount in the late 1800's after his service in the Civil War. Upon Mr. Mount’s death, the business was purchased by his son-in-law Frederick Adams who continued the family tradition. Upon Mr. Adams’ death the business was purchased by William Connelly, who also continued to run the business and fulfill the basic principles of a family-owned business until his retirement in 2001.
Since that time Bruce S. Thompson has owned and operated the Thompson Memorial Home, providing a valuable resource to grieving families during a time of great need. The caring, compassionate nature of this family-owned funeral home is the hallmark of the Thompson Memorial Home.
Bruce S. Thompson and the Thompson Memorial Home staff are here for you 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year to comfort and guide you when you need it most.
Our commitment is to offer the finest possible service to all of the families we serve. We offer a full complement of services and products to assist families in designing and implementing a service for their loved one that is meaningful. We have not forgotten the way service used to be - when people gave extra comfort and care beyond the expected. We are committed to continue that same tradition of service today.
