John F. Gormley

John F. Gormley, AKA Mr. "G", 70, husband, father, and dear friend to all, peacefully passed away with family by his side on Sunday, July 23rd, 2017, in Red Bank, NJ.

John was born and raised in Staten Island to Michael and Helen (Scott) Gormley, the oldest of three children. He served in the United States Navy as a Machinist from 1966 to 1970 on the USS CROMWELL pursuing his passion and love for our country as he traveled the world.  John returned home and attended Saint Peter’s College in Jersey City, NJ, where he met his beloved wife Helen O'Connell.   Soon after receiving his Bachelors Degree of Science, John pursued an automotive career with NJ Bell and as a Motor Vehicle Training Instructor with Bayonne, NJ, US Army Garrison. John was known as the man who could fix anything, a "NY Giants" super fan, a respected coach, and an educator. A true family man at heart, John loved raising his family at the Jersey Shore.

Angela M. Pimentel

Angela M. Pimentel, 67 of Tinton Falls, passed away on July 24, 2017.  Angela was born in Red Bank to Anthony and Josephine Alexander. She worked as a hair stylist and then later in the family catering business at the Tinton Falls Deli in Tinton Falls.  

Arthur Owen Jones, Jr.

Arthur Owen Jones, Jr., age 74 of Shrewsbury, was born in Roswell, New Mexico to Janet Hayden Jones and Arthur Owen Jones, Sr. while his father was in the military. He died July 17, 2017 in Monmouth Medical Center following a brief illness. He graduated from Rumson-Fair Haven High School and attended Monmouth College. Owen served in the United States Coast Guard.

Emmanuelletta L. McGrath

Emmanuelletta L. Mc Grath (also known as Pat), Age 93 of Shrewsbury, passed away on July 17, 2017.  She was born in Castle Shannon, PA and moved to Shrewsbury in 1952.  She worked for Gayle McKnight at McKnight Drapery Service for over 30 years. 

She was a breast cancer survivor.  Pat was an avid follower of Bobby Byrne for many years. 

Sandra Ester Sica

 

Sandra Ester Sica, passed peacefully on July 16, 2017, surrounded by her loved ones.  She was predeceased by her parents, Benjamin and Elena Sica.

Sandra spent her early years in Milan, Italy and later resided in Monmouth County, NJ.  She attended college in Boston.

Sandy enjoyed traveling Europe further feeding her passion for the opera.  She also enjoyed cooking, golf, and a good political discussion but was happiest when spending time with her family.

William C. Lutter

William C. Lutter, 75, of Sea Bright, New Jersey passed away on July 9, 2017, with his loving wife of 52 years by his side.   

Bill was born on December 15, 1941 in New York City to the late William M. Lutter and late Catherine (Condren) Lutter. He and his three sisters grew up in the Washington Heights section of New York City, where his mother said he was “a very active little boy.”  He met the love of his life Kathleen (Bradley) Lutter while on Spring Break in Florida, and they married on May 8, 1965.  

Madeline Seifert Van Glahn

Madeline Seifert Van Glahn of River Plaza, Middletown Township passed away on July 11, 2017.  She was born in Newark, NJ, to Edward and Anna Holland Seifert.  She lived in East Keansburg and Red Bank before moving to River Plaza in 1949.

Ann M. Gunther

 

Ann M. Gunther (nee McLaughlin) 70, of Eatontown passed away peacefully on Monday, July 10, 2017.

Ann is survived by her loving husband Jeffrey of 43 wonderful years and her son Richard of Eatontown.  Ann was predeceased by her brother, John McLaughlin and will be fondly remembered by her sister Debbie (Roy) Acord of Oroville, WA, along with a host of nieces, nephew and friends.

Ann was born in Long Branch, NJ to John and Frances McLaughlin. She was a graduate of Holy Cross Grammar School and Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School.  Ann was a Paralegal for a prestigious law firm in Las Vegas, Nevada for over 30 years prior to retiring home to NJ.

Richard V. Kelly

 

Richard V. Kelly, 89, of Tinton Falls, New Jersey, died early Saturday, July 8, 2017, after battling cancer.  He was lovingly cared for during his illness and is survived by his wife Elizabeth J. Kelly. 

Born in Trenton, New Jersey, he graduated from Trenton High School.  Mr. Kelly spent five years in the navy serving aboard the submarine the USS Pickerel as an electronic specialist.  

Patricia Norton

Patricia Norton passed away at home on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. Born Patricia Dee O’Connor in Bayshore, Long Island into a vaudeville family, she was performing on stage from the time she was 6 months old. A gifted singer and dancer, “Patsy” performed in several movies and was on Broadway at 10 years old, sharing the stage with Ethel Merman in “Panama Hattie”. She met her husband, Gene Norton, while singing with the Harry James Orchestra, and was married until his death in 2010.  She retired from performing in 1955 but continued teaching dance into her 60’s.
