Jeffrey F. Bogart

Jeffrey F. Bogart, 43, of Red Bank, New Jersey passed away at home on Sunday, September 10, 2017.  Jeff is survived by his parents, Joseph C., of Tinton Falls, NJ, and Barbara J., of Red Bank, NJ.  He is also survived by one brother, Joseph J., of Beacon, NY, two nieces, and several beloved cousins, aunts and uncles.

Jeff was a kind, warm-hearted, benevolent soul who would go to great lengths to help people in need.  He was well-liked and had numerous friends who thought very highly of him and appreciated his keen sense of humor. Jeff's compassion extended to people and animals alike, especially dogs - any dog in Jeff's presence would not escape without numerous pets and hugs.

Roger D. Tuttle

Roger D. Tuttle, age 93, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 3, 2017, in a caring and loving facility, Preferred Care of Wall, Allenwood, NJ.  He was born in Leicester, MA, to Paul and Marion Tuttle and was one of five children.  Roger attended Mt. Hermon Prep School and went on to attend Duke University until he began his service as an Ensign in the Navy during World War II. It was during that time that he met his first wife, Trudy, and together they had seven children. Roger is now married to Patricia, who has been his loving and adoring wife since in 1983.

Susan Clapp Batting

Susan Clapp Batting, affectionately known as Susie, age 77, of Rumson, New Jersey died peacefully at her home surrounded by family on September 6th, 2017.   Susie is survived by her children; Heather and husband Jim Mulvihill of Greenwood Village, CO, Richard and partner, Marshall Prosswimmer of Fair Haven, NJ, Kerry and partner Susan Force of Rumson, NJ, and Lindsay and husband Joshua Bomstein of Tampa, FL, as well as grandchildren; Seamas, Connor, Tucker and Maggie Mulvihill, and Will, Phoebe, and Isabel Bomstein, her brother Richard William Clapp and wife Jo-Ann of Hamburg, NJ, and brother and sisters-in-law, Robert and Joan Batting of Barrington, R.I,  Doug and Barbara Batting of Little Silver, NJ, Ann and Kell Morley of York, ME, Ken Morley of West Lebanon, NH, as well as many nieces, nephews, countless friends and  a very dear four legged companion , Betty. Susie was predeceased by her beloved husband William Graham Batting, her parents, Richard Holmes and Ruth Wilke Clapp, her sister Joan Clapp and brother Neale Clapp and his wife Marcia.

Teena Hartung

Teena Hartung passed away peacefully on August 20th at the age of 92. Teena was born and raised in Norfolk Virginia. It was there, in 1943, that she met the love of her life and husband of 65 years Richard Hartung who predeceased her. 

Teena was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all. She was a 50 + year member of St. Georges by the River Church in Rumson, where she served as president of the Alter Guild and held many other positions. Teena was also past president of the Navesink Garden Club and the English Speaking Union.

Nicolina-Lena Mosca

Nicolina-Lena Mosca, Age 96 of Middletown, passed away on September 1st at home.  Nicolina-Lena was born in Bayonne, NJ to Pasquale and Angelina Tedsco.  She was a member of the Red Hat Association and an active member of Deborah Hospital. 

Charlotte E. Schlosser

Mrs. Charlotte Schlosser nee Ebel passed away peacefully on June 12th in Fair Haven, NJ, surrounded by family and friends.  She was 82.  Charlotte is survived by her loving husband Wolfgang, daughter Dorothea, son-in-law Tom and grandchildren, Anika & Thaddeus, and brother Hans-Peter.  Charlotte is preceded in death by her son Michael.

Mary Louise Lyon Strong (Mary Lou)

Mary Louise Lyon Strong (Mary Lou), a 58-year resident of Monmouth County and long-time historic preservation activist and community volunteer, died on August 29th at age 86. Mary Lou was born on November 20, 1930 in Newton, Massachusetts, the daughter of Dorothy Miller Lyon and Stanley H. Lyon. Mary Lou graduated from Wellesley College as an Art History major in 1952. She and her husband, George Hotham Strong, moved to Little Silver, and then Locust, New Jersey, in 1956, where they raised their three children. Together, they reconstructed an 18th Century house and filled it with antiques. They were married for 63 years before his death in 2014. For the past three years, Mary Lou has lived at Newbridge-on-the-Charles in Dedham, Massachusetts. A funeral service for Mary Lou will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 9th at All Saints’ Memorial Church, 202 Navesink Ave, Navesink.

William E. "Bill" Dixon Sr.

William E. “Bill” Dixon, Sr, 76, of Sea Bright, NJ, went to glory peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, NJ.  “Grampy”, “Wilby Macondeaux”, and “Chuckles” as he was known by his grandchildren, family and friends fought courageously for more than four years against an incurable illness. 

Edith I. Mangarelli

Edith I. Mangarelli (nee Geroni), a lifelong resident of Red Bank, NJ, passed away Thursday at the age of 98. She was married to her late husband, Harold Mangarelli, for 53 years. Born on August 7, 1919 in Red Bank, she went to Red Bank High school and worked at Eisners factory during World War II. She was a member of the USO and a devout Catholic. She helped run Crown Gifts, a well known Catholic Gift store owned by she and her husband. Edith loved her family, watching soap operas, the New York Yankees and Tony Bennett. 

Donato Colella

Donato Colella (Danny) died peacefully on August 24, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.  He was 79 years old. 

Danny was born in Mola di Bari, Italy, the son of Giovanni and Anna Colella.  In 1970 he moved to Brooklyn, New York where he met his wife, Maria. They were happily married for 46 years.

Vincent James Fuschetti

On August 22, 2017 Vincent James Fuschetti, “Vinnie”, age 86, of Rumson passed away after a long but valiant battle with chronic illness.  

He was a graduate of Seton Hall Prep where he was a highly recruited swimmer.  He went on to attend the University of Miami where he earned his business degree; he was a brother of Sigma Phi Epsilon and was able to foster a love for sailing fishing and scuba diving.
