George T. Brew, age 88, of Sea Bright. George was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Sea Bright for many years. George passed away on Friday, May 13, 2016. George attended Holy Cross Church. He was an avid marathon runner, running many times with his friend , George Sheehan. He often spoke Latin. George was a history teacher for the Rumson School System at Forrestdale School. After his retirement he tutored many students.

George was predeceased by his first wife Ellen and their son George and second wife Carol; two brothers, Thomas 'Jean' and John Brew. He is survived by his sister Mary Brew Deegan of Perth Amboy and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 16th, 6-8 PM at the Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St., Red Bank. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 17th, 10:00 AM at Holy Cross Church, 30 Ward Avenue, Rumson.
