Elizabeth Mae Mego, age 79, of Red Bank died peacefully Friday, February 9, 2018. Betty grew up in Clifton, moved to Atlantic Highlands and then finally resided in Red Bank where she lived for more than 45 years and raised her family. She was a homemaker and loved most of all spending time with her grandchildren. Betty also loved going for car rides with her husband John.
She was predeceased by her grandson Robert Weiler III, daughter Theresa Powers, step daughter Margaret Mego-Cooper, brothers Howard, Robert and Warren Pipeling and her parents Peter and Mary Pipeling.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years John Mego Sr, children Carol & Frank Campanella of Delran, Robert Jr & Carol Weiler of Middletown and Patricia & Michael Zilly of Tinton Falls, step-children John Jr & Angela Mego of North Carolina and Michael Mego of Red Bank, grandchildren Kristina & Kevin Maysonet, Michael & Hilary Zilly, Melinda & Brian Slivia, Pamela Weiler, David Zilly & Karly Bais, John & Jill Weiler,Kaitlyn Zilly and Evan Mego, great grandchildren Kent and Noah and her dear friend of many many years Liselotte Manger.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 13th from 2-4 & 7-9pm with a service at 8pm at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St, Red Bank, NJ 07701.
