Michael Czarnecki, 74 of Brick, formerly of Atlantic Highlands and Highlands, passed away suddenly on January 5, 2018. He retired from Honeywell in 2000 and thoroughly enjoyed every day of his retirement. Most mornings he could be found on the tennis court and most afternoons he would be at the dog park with his four-legged buddy.
He was a loving husband and an amazing father who would do anything he could for his family. One of his favorite traditions was making pierogies for the family for the holidays. He tried to teach his children and grandchildren the secret family recipe but so far none has taken on the challenge.
Mike was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Eleanor and his brother Joseph. He is survived by his wife Cathy of Brick; his sons Robert & his wife Holly of Oakhurst and Kevin of Atlantic Highlands; his daughters Janet Lukachyk & her husband Scott of Sarasota, FL and Christa & her fiancé Lisa Stuto of Lakewood; his grandchildren Rachel Allen & husband Zeke of Wesley Chapel, FL, Scott Lukachyk & his wife Haley of Sarasota, FL and Kyle Czarnecki of Oakhurst; and three great-grandchildren Riley and Trenton Lukachyk and Bryce Allen.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 7th from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St, Red Bank. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 8th at 10 a.m. at St. Dominic’s RC Church, 250 Old Squan Rd, Brick. Interment will follow at Bayview Cemetery, Leonardo.
