Peggy Prefer passed away peacefully Sunday at Riverview Medical Center in the presence of family.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, she lived the majority of her life in Sarasota, FL with her late husband and love of her life George. After George passed in 2021, she moved to New Jersey and lived with her son, Kevin.
Peggy dedicated her life to making her family feel loved, she made a house a home. Outside of family life Peggy enjoyed making many friendships throughout her life. She enjoyed talking to family and friends often.
Daughter of the late Edward G. and Margaret O'Hanlon Conway she is predeceased by her late husband George and grandson Christopher, nieces Lauren and Donna, and nephew Johnny. She is survived by her children Steven and Kevin and a daughter-in-law Ximena whom she loved like a daughter, a grandson Michael, a sister Mary Vogel of Staten Island, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial mass will be held at 10am Tuesday June 9th at St. Mary Mother of God Church at 19 Cherry Tree Farm Road in Middletown, NJ 07748.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Peggy's memory to the Make-A-Wish foundation.
