Affectionately known as “DooDoo” to his adoring grandchildren, John Anthony Bermingham passed away peacefully on Friday, June 13, 2025, just weeks after celebrating his 61st birthday.
Born and raised in Rathfarnham, Ireland. John brought his boundless charm, wit, and warmth to the United States. Where he met the love of his life and best friend of 39 years, Tara. Together, they built a beautiful family and a life full of laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.
John was the devoted son of his late parents Nora and Donal Bermingham and a beloved brother to Mary, Declan, Anne, Edel, and his late brother Donal. He was the proud and loving father of Erin and Garrett Yaeger, Shane and Katherine Bermingham, Daniel and Martha Bermingham. Cherished grandfather of Maeve, Leo, Kieran, Hugh Bear, Matilda, and Harper. He will be missed by his in-laws, nephews, nieces and friends here and abroad.
Professionally, John served as a Chief Compliance Officer, where his integrity and dedication earned the respect of colleagues and clients alike. But it was his life outside of work that truly defined him.
A passionate fan of Liverpool FC, a gifted poet, and a man who had a love for music and dancing. John had a remarkable ability to light up any room he walked into. He was the heart and soul of every gathering, known for his laughter and well delivered jokes. He was always lending a helping hand.
Above all, John was happiest surrounded by his grandchildren, who adored their DooDoo beyond words. He was a true gentleman and leaves behind a legacy of kindness, humor, and a life lived fully and joyfully.
