Charlotte A. Brodfuhrer of Little Silver, NJ, and most recently from Tinton Falls, NJ moved on to Heaven April 9, 2025, through her faith and confession of Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.
Charlotte was born in East Norwalk, CT to Alfred L. and Willa C. Jackson in August, 1932. She grew up and attended schools in Norwalk where she was active in scouting and boating. After graduating from Norwalk High School, she completed her Nursing degree from St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing, NYC, in 1953. She practiced nursing in CT, NYC, and Red Bank, NJ.
Charlotte was a long time member of Tower Hill Presbyterian Church of Red Bank, NJ where she served as a Sunday School teacher, Elder, Hospital Visitor, and Stephen Minister. For many years she participated in a study group at B'Nai Israel Synagogue in Rumson, NJ and enjoyed volunteering at the ARC of Monmouth County. Perhaps, most of all, Charlotte will be remembered as a friend and therapist as she sowed seeds of love and encouragement into the lives of many.
Charlotte savored the time she spent with her family, attending Bible studies, enjoying the beach in the evenings, and tending her organic vegetable and flower gardens. She was a gifted artist, played the piano by ear, and enjoyed reading, especially the Bible and health topics.
Charlotte was predeceased by her parents, her husband of 53 years, Eric Brodfuhrer of Little Silver, NJ, and her brother, Burt Jackson of CT.
She is survived by her 3 children: son Bruce Brodfuhrer (Terri) of NC, daughter Karen Brodfuhrer of NJ, and daughter Lisa Dillon (David) of MD. She was the proud grandmother of 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, May 16th at 11 am Tower Hill Presbyterian Church, 255 Harding Rd, Red Bank, NJ 07701. Thompson Memorial Home of Red Bank, NJ has been entrusted with the arrangements.
