Joseph Accardi of Little Silver, N.J. passed away Nov. 26th, of natural causes. He was nearly 89 years old.
Born and raised in Red Bank New Jersey, Joe loved his state and home town, and remained there for all of his life.
In grade school, he met his best friend Mario Crupi’s sister Rosemarie, they eventually fell in love, married in 1961, raised three children, and recently celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary.
He served in the Army Reserve in his youth and continued to serve the community as a member of his local Auxiliary Police.
After a brief career as a professional photographer, he obtained his barber’s license and worked with his father in his barber shop in Fair Haven, which Joe continued to operate for over 65 years, until he retired several years ago.
He was a hardworking, dignified, kind and gentle man who loved his family and friends and his Lord, and was a faithful member of Calvary Coastland Church.

He was well loved and respected by all those who knew him. Joe had great affection for the music of Frank Sinatra and Atlantic City trips, and he was very proud to drive a Cadillac for most of his life.
He is survived by his loving wife Rosemarie and their three children and their spouses, Anthony (Wendy) , Charlene (John) , and Roseann (Robert), and numerous grandchildren and a great grandchild too, a beloved sister in law and many nieces and nephews and other extended family.
Funeral services will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Thompson Memorial Home of Red Bank, NJ.
