Rose Marie "Re" Lister (Tomaino)

On Sunday November 19th, Rose Marie "Re" Lister (Tomaino)  90, passed away peacefully from natural causes. Rose spent most of her life on Leighton Avenue in Red Bank, NJ. She worked for many years at the A&P on Monmouth Street in the meat department. She finished her working years at Foodtown on Broad Street in Red Bank. Rose retired early to devote more time to family. Rose was a third generation Italian American whose family hailed from Southern Italy. Their surnames were Tomaino and Mazza. 
 
Rose was predeceased by her daughter Joanne Carhart, and 8 of 11 siblings: Joseph "Chubby", Jenny, Bruno, Angie, Jimmy, Nate "Junior", Bobby, Mary, and Patty. Rose is survived by her brother Richard Tomaino, son Michael Lister, and son-in-law Jeffrey Carhart. Her grandchildren: Billy Lister, Maria Wolf, Michael J. Lister, Jimmy Carhart, and Jonathan Carhart. Her great-grandchildren:  Brittany Wolf, John Michael Wolf, Danielle Lister, Lauren Lister, and Penelope Lister, and her great-great granddaughter, Aubrey Wolf.
 
Rose was a devout Catholic who attended Saint Dorothea Church in her later years. She was a religious woman who was also modest, polite, fiercely loyal, cautious, and proud of others. Rose enjoyed knitting, chocolate ice cream, provolone cheese, and spaghetti with clam sauce. She always had a piece of hard candy for the children. She is with the Angels now.
 

Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 29th at 10 am at St. Dorothea’s Church, 240 Broad St, Eatontown, NJ 07724. Entombment will follow Mass at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown, NJ. Arrangements are under the direction of Thompson Memorial Home of Red Bank, NJ.
