Salvador Morales 1952-2023 passed away at home on March 16, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Puerto Rico to the late Vivino Morales and his surviving mother Cecilia Morales. Salvador was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School and received his bachelor's degree from Kean State University. He pursued and attended Massachusetts School of Law. He was a former Hearing Officer under the auspices of the Dept of Labor assigned to New Brunswick, NJ and became a Senior Hearing Officer for the Dept of Labor, New York, New York. He was also a successful real estate investor and developer of residential and commercial properties. He willingly provided guidance and consultation to investors and real estate developers who sought out his expertise. In his later years, he became a broadcaster for the Middlesex County College giving sports, weather and news to the public. He was awarded the Blue Colt Radio Excellence Award for promoting the advancement of broadcast education. He received the Leadership Citation from Middlesex County College for his contributions to the College community.
He will be remembered for his commentaries, colorful humor and entertaining wit. Salvador was also a noted Taekwondo Black Belt who competed in many competitions and was awarded the Dan grade holder of Kukkiwon.
Salvador leaves behind his mother Cecilia Morales, three sisters, Felicia, Rose and Sonia. He also leaves two nieces, Andrea and Brooke, a nephew, David.
Visitation will be Friday, March 24th from 10 to 11 am at the Church of the Nativity, 180 Ridge Road, Fair Haven, NJ, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Entombment will immediately follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown, NJ. Donations may be made in Sal’s memory to the Alyson Raywood Colon Cancer Scholarship fund at Rumson-Fair Haven High School.
