Stephen J. Bulwin, of Barnegat, was born in Paterson, NJ and peacefully passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Barnegat Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Barnegat, after a brief illness. He was 83 years old. Mr. Bulwin was a graduate of Fair Lawn High School class of 1957. He resided in Highlands, NJ from 1959 until 2008, Lincroft, NJ from 2008 until 2014, and then moved to Barnegat.
Mr Bulwin was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving as a communications mate from 1957 to 1963. He served on the USS Dealey.
Mr. Bulwin was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America as a Dockbuilder in Local Union 1556 for 40 years.
Stephen was predeceased by his father, Theodore A. Bulwin in 1987; his mother, Jemma J. Bulwin, in 2000; and his sister, Theodora A. Conway, in 2015. Stephen is survived by his nephew, Sean Conway and his wife Dawn, of Middletown, NJ; a great-nephew Evan Conway, of Brick, NJ; and a great-niece, Jordan Conway, of Sparta, NJ.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 11, 2023, from 1 to 4 pm, with words of remembrance at 3:30, at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St, Red Bank, NJ. Cremation and interment will be private.
