Joseph P. Meluso, age 90, of Red Bank, NJ peacefully passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.
Joseph was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Brooklyn and Staten Island, NY prior to moving to Red Bank, NJ.
Joseph served in the Navy during the Korean War. He was a Social Worker at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn upon his retirement. After he retired, he started his own painting company and painted the interior and exterior of many family and friends homes on Staten Island.
Joseph loved spending the summer months at the Jersey Shore, but his true love was spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Joseph was predeceased by his wife Lola, and his son-in-law Luden Todman. He is survived by his three children, Paula Todman, of Red Bank, NJ with whom he resided, Larry Meluso of St. Petersburg, FL, Amy Annaruma and her husband Anthony, of Red Bank, NJ. His four grandchildren, Ava, Amanda, and AJ Annaruma, and Lola Todman. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 1st from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St, Red Bank, NJ 07701. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 2nd at 11 am at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 121 Bridge Ave, Red Bank, NJ 07701. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown, NJ.
