Robert E. Milmore passed away quietly on October 25, 2022, at the age of 84 after a short but courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born in Brooklyn, New York where he attended Brooklyn Prep. Stationed at Fort Bragg, he served as a sergeant for the United States Army. Afterwards, Robert worked for over thirty-five years in information technology for Sterling Drug and Eastman Kodak. He was fortunate to retire at an early age to travel and spend time with family and friends. Robert was an avid golfer and enjoyed summer days at Avon-By-The-Sea, New Jersey. He was a passionate fan of the New York Mets, New York Jets, and the Penn State Nittany Lions.
Robert and his wife of sixty years, Carol E. Milmore, resided in Holmdel, New Jersey for the past fifty-five years where they raised their three children. Over the years, Robert was a Holmdel Youth Athletic Association coach, a member of the New Jersey Jaycees, and a member of the Holmdel Planning Board.
Robert was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Mary, and his brothers Thomas and John. He is survived by his wife Carol and his three children: his daughter Lisa and her husband John Snowden, his daughter Christine, and his son Robert. In addition, he is survived by his four grandchildren: Eric, Victoria, Gabriella, and Joseph. He is also survived by his two sisters Helen and Barbara and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 28th, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St. Red Bank, NJ. A brief memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 29th, at Thompson Memorial Home followed by interment at Fair View Cemetery in Middletown, New Jersey.
