Raymond Kann Jr, 87, passed away on 10/3/2022. He was born in York, PA, graduated in 1953, enlisted in the Navy and was stationed at Boston, MA & Norfolk, VA. He became a Navy recruiter in Red Bank, NJ in 1970 and moved to Long Branch, NJ. Raymond worked at Quick Chek as a manager & the Fort Monmouth commissary, where he retired.
He was married to his lovely wife Jesslyn Alloway Kann for 63 years. Raymond was a loving husband, proud grandfather and great great-grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and he loved his Boston Red Sox & the Giants.
Raymond was predeceased by his parents Raymond Kann Sr and Emra Fetrow Kann; his daughter Michele Kann McGinty and his brothers Donald Kann and David Kann. Surviving are his wife, Jesslyn; his daughter Margaret Kann Hammell; his granddaughters Sarah McGinty Paterson and Samantha McGinty; great-grandson Isaac Paterson; brothers Kenneth Kann, John Kann, Curtis Kann, Joseph Kann; sister Lois Kann Conway and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held in his home town in Pennsylvania. Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank, NJ, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
