Louis J. Cennamo passed away on February 18, 2022. He was a lover of life.
Louie grew up in Brooklyn NY. He sang in a Doo Wop group in his early 20’s called The Del Cades. Together they made two records “It Takes Two To Fall In Love and “Worlds Fair USA”.
He married the love of his life Louise Grosso in 1965. Together they lived in Downtown Brooklyn, then moved to Flatbush Brooklyn before settling in Staten Island in 1998. Louie then joined another Doo Woo group called Reminisce.
Louie worked at the American Stock Exchange for 37 years, retiring in 1997.
Louie loved the beach, ocean and swimming on a hot summer day! He liked to go crabbing and enjoyed cooking them even more. Anyone that knew him, knew about his love for wine. He was a great cook and always enjoyed a great meal! He lived out the last of his years surrounded by his loving family.
He is predeceased by his wife Louise and is survived by his daughters Kim Fontana and her husband Joe and Grace Manzo and her husband Robert; his son Louis; brother Joseph and his wife Rose; grandchildren Joseph, Nicholas, Christina, Vincent, Robert, Angelina and Jayden and a great-granddaughter Giovanna.
He lived out the last of his years surrounded by his loving family.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 23rd from 3 to 7 pm, at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St, Red Bank, NJ.
