Norah M. Dufficy

Norah M. Dufficy passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 11, 2021, with her loving husband of 58 years Patrick, by her side. Norah is survived by her loving family; husband Patrick, son James, daughter-in-law Suzanne, sisters Kathleen, Mary, Bernie, brother Bill, and her most precious treasures, grandchildren Jack, Finnbar and Shea. Norah was predeceased by her parents, Jim and Julia O’Brien and brother John.

Norah grew up in Co. Tipperary, Ireland. Norah & Pat met living in Oxford, England. They married and moved to New York in 1968. They raised their only son James in West Orange, NJ. Norah was active in various Irish clubs in Essex County and Our Lady of Lourdes Church. She worked as a receptionist for the Essex County Probation until 1999. They then moved to Lion Heads North in Brick and enjoyed retirement together, where Norah looked forward to her frequent trips to Atlantic City. What brought Norah most joy in her life were her grandchildren and family. Norah’s love and affection for Jack, Finnbar, and Shea was so very special and will stay in their hearts forever.

Visitation will be held on Wed, 12/15/21 from 5 to 8 pm at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St, Red Bank, NJ. Facial masks are required. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thurs, 12/16/21 at 10:15 am, St. Leo The Great, 50 Hurleys Lane, Lincroft, NJ. Burial will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association is requested.
