Norma Adams Bibby, aged 87 years, died April 14, 2020. She was residing at Jersey Shore Center in Eatontown, NJ.
Norma was born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ, daughter of the late Edgar and Dorothy Adams, sister to the late Nancy Adams Riley and brother- in- law Robert “Bob” Riley. She graduated from Battin High School in Elizabeth, NJ in 1950. She then went to work as a secretary at Elizabeth Iron Works and met her beloved husband William (Bill) Bibby. They were married for sixty years before Bill passed away in 2011.
Norma is survived by daughter, Christine Bibby Stout, son-in-law William Paul Stout, and grandchildren, Anthony and Julia Constantine, and Sarah Stout.
Norma and Bill lived in Fanwood, NJ for 33 years before moving to Readington, NJ where they lived for 25 years.
Norma and Bill, also known as “Grammy” and “Grampy”, were very loving grandparents. They were involved with every event in their grandchildren's lives.
Norma was an avid gardener and loved her cats. She passed the passion of gardening on to her daughter, Christine.
Norma was very active in her churches. She was the Sunday School secretary at Woodside Chapel in Fanwood for many years. When moving to Reading, she attended South Branch Bible Fellowship church in South Branch, NJ.
Bill’s hobby was flying small passenger airplanes and Norma was his first solo passenger. Together, they took wonderful trips with family and friends.
Norma was a resident at Jersey Shore Center in Eatontown, NJ for the past 5 years where she received very loving care from all of the wonderful nurses and health care workers and enjoyed all the activities the Center had to offer.
Norma will be dearly missed by her family and friends, and will always be remembered for her devotion and her love. A private graveside service will be held at Fair View Cemetery.
